Cost Guide

Custom ERP Software Cost in India

A transparent breakdown of what actually drives the cost of a custom ERP project — no fixed price list, because your scope isn't the same as anyone else's.

What Drives the Cost

An ERP build fee scales with scope, not with a fixed price list. These are the factors that actually move the number.

Number of modules required
Complexity of approval workflows
Number of user roles & permissions
Third-party API integrations
Data migration from legacy systems
Custom reporting requirements
Number of concurrent users
Timeline & urgency

How Cost Scales

Scope Bands, Not Fixed Prices

Rather than numbers that go stale, here's how scope typically scales. See full plan details for what's included at each tier.

Starter

Up to 3 modules, up to 10 users

A single team digitising one core process — enquiry to invoicing, for example.

Growth

Up to 10 modules, up to 25 users

A full-stack ERP spanning multiple departments, with custom workflows and advanced reporting.

Enterprise

Unlimited modules & users

Multi-location, high-complexity businesses needing a fully bespoke, unlimited-scale platform.

Pricing Model

Build Fee vs Subscription vs AMC

01

One-Time Development Fee

Paid in milestones — advance on signing, a payment at UAT, and the final amount at go-live. Scoped to your modules, workflow complexity, and integrations.

02

Monthly SaaS Subscription

A predictable recurring fee covering cloud hosting, database, daily automated backups, SSL, uptime monitoring, and transactional emails.

03

Annual AMC (from Year 2)

Covers bug fixes, minor feature enhancements, security updates, and priority support — without paying for a full rebuild.

Buyer Beware

What to Watch Out For

Hidden costs

Some vendors quote a low build fee but charge separately for every small change post-launch. Ask exactly what's included in the monthly fee versus what triggers an extra charge.

Vendor lock-in

Some vendors build on proprietary platforms that make it impossible to migrate away. Insist your data and codebase can be exported — a transparent vendor will tell you their tech stack upfront.

Off-the-shelf disguised as custom

Ask directly: is this built from scratch for my business, or is this an existing product with my branding on it? The answer matters most when your workflows don't fit the template.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't you publish fixed prices?

Every business is different — a company with 3 modules and 5 users has very different requirements from one needing 10 modules, complex workflows, and 50 users. We scope each project properly during discovery so you only pay for what you actually need, then give a fixed quote.

What's the difference between the one-time fee and the monthly fee?

The one-time fee is what you pay once to build the software, priced by scope. The monthly SaaS fee is a low recurring cost covering cloud hosting, database, backups, SSL, and uptime monitoring — billed from go-live.

Is GST included in the quote?

No. All amounts are exclusive of GST at 18% (CGST + SGST for intra-state, IGST for inter-state), as applicable under Indian tax law.

Can I start small and add modules later?

Yes. The platform is modular by design — start with the modules you need today (often Sales/CRM plus one operational module) and add more as your business grows. Additional modules are scoped and priced separately.

Is custom ERP worth the cost for a small business?

For most Indian businesses handling more than 20–30 transactions a day, managing multiple departments, or running projects, yes — the cost of Excel errors, missed follow-ups, and manual reconciliation typically exceeds the cost of a properly scoped system within 12–18 months. The key is scoping only what you need today.
